What is Chiropody?

Chiropody involves many different techniques, to treat a wide range of problems with the feet to maintain their good health.

The foot is a highly complex and intricate structure whose care and well being are usually ignored until it is unable to perform the normal functions we expect of it. Anne Mofid, the Park Practice's State Registered Chiropodist, is a highly trained specialist who provides a comprehensive foot health service for conditions affecting the foot
and lower limb.

As well as short- and long-term pain relief, the chiropodist is able to provide
or prescribe individual appliances and orthotics.

How is Chiropody regulated?

A state registered chiropodist can dramatically improve mobility and
maintain fit, active and pain free feet. You do not need to be referred by
your GP.
State Registration is a standard set by the Profession under statute. To
reach this standard, Anne Mofid completed a three year full time course at
Birmingham, leading to a BSc degree in Podiatry.
Only state registered chiropodists may be employed within the National
Health. State Registration is the only standard acceptable to the NHS,
which is why you should not accept anything less.

Anne Mofid is a Member of The Society of Chiropodists & Podiatrists
