Joanne completed a degree in Pathobiology at Reading University in 1992, and initially worked in a hospital medical laboratory. Since that time, Joanne has worked in the pharmaceutical industry, carrying out research into a variety of subjects.
Her work has included investigation into the cellular toxicology at genetic level of certain drugs, and the lifespan of pesticides in the environment.

Joanne has also worked as a day care assistant, providing care to physically disabled adults.

Joanne earned her BSc in Osteopathy from Oxford Brookes University, a recognised osteopathic training college, in 2003. She has since been working as an Osteopath and Physical Therapist.
